Hi, I'm Karen
I'm interested in understanding people and helping them see the world in new ways
As a designer, I am passionate about crafting moments that facilitate thoughtful relationships between people and the world around them.
I’m looking for opportunities that will challenge me to explore how design can shape stronger support systems.
I just received my Master's in Interaction Design at CCA in San Francisco, where over the past year, I've honed a range of human-centered design skills including research, prototyping, and systems thinking to name a few. I put these skills to practice in my community by working with clients such as the Glide Foundation and Simply the Basics to tackle real-world problems that have a social impact.
Previously, I studied public health and I was a health IT consultant in Washington, D.C.
I worked with patients, technology developers, healthcare providers, and national policy experts to help them navigate the complexities of implementing and optimizing technology in healthcare environments.
Outside of the studio, you can usually find me pursuing many other creative passions
In my free time, I enjoy painting, drawing, photography, gardening, cooking, and trying to learn the ukulele.
