What is Salesforce Ignite?
Salesforce Ignite was an innovation consulting team that engaged with the executives and stakeholders of some of Salesforce’s largest customers to co-create shared strategic visions and help enable large scale digital transformation.
Collaborating with many internal and external cross-functional teams, my role as lead designer was to translate research insights into tangible and compelling future visions. By diving into ambiguity and taking a systems thinking approach, I crafted holistic experiences that struck a balance between human, business, and technological priorities.

Strategic frameworks:
making the complex tangible
The majority of our customer engagements required solving problems using a systems thinking approach that allowed us to zoom in and out of many different levels. I designed many visual frameworks that helped simplify complex information and create a shared understanding across many individuals and stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Vision design:
Demonstrating the art of the possible
The final deliverables for our customer engagements were often multi-part strategic visions that helped our customers envision a future where Salesforce technology could help solve some of their biggest challenges. These deliverables leveraged visual storytelling and custom tailored, early stage concepts that demonstrated the art of the possible to our executive customers.
Workshop design & facilitation:
Generating cross-functional alignment
An important part of each engagement was bring many stakeholders together to collaborate and co-create a shared vision for the future. We wanted to help our customers build empathy for their customers and/or other stakeholders, enable divergent thinking about the future, and facilitate conversations about business priorities. I designed all workshop assets that kept participants engaged during these 3-5 hour long sessions.
Visual notetaking:
Synthesizing conversations to generate momentum
Our final deliverables were often presented to customers in lengthy 2-3 hour long meetings. As a way to help keep track of key takeaways from these meetings, I often captured important themes in a visual manner (via sketchnotes) to summarize important areas of discussion.
